Text Box: Vance Mealey Passes On We are sorry to report the passing of our fellow 1977 C-K classmate Vance Mealey this past Thursday. According to information that Fritz received, Vance had a heart attack at home and was rushed to the hospital where he passed away a short time later. To view Vance’s obituary click here.

1977 Classmates

Participate in Fundraiser

Kathy Mays Billups,

Jamie Perry Hardwick, Patti Rollins, Jim Woods, and Charles Clarkson helped organize and/or were runners in the first ever Good Samaritan Center’s Soles 5K Run/Walk this past Labor Day.

The Run/Walk began and ended at the former Ceredo-Kenova High School and included 242 participants.

The event raised over $6,000 towards purchase and renovation of the

former Louise’s Dress Shoppe on Chestnut Street in Kenova. If the $75,000 goal is reached the Good Samaritan Center will be moved from it’s current base at First Baptist Church of Kenova to

this location.

The Good Samaritan

Center serves the needy

in the C-K Communities by distributing food items to them and is an outreach of the C-K Ministerial Association.
